
Claudio Babiloni

Claudio Babiloni is a Full Professor of Physiology at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology “V. Erspamer”, Sapienza University of Rome, where he has also served as Head of the Laboratory of Neurosciences of Human Higher Functions since 2012. His work focuses on the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying human cognition, with a strong emphasis on advanced EEG and MEG methodologies in clinical and translational neuroscience.
He has played a leading role in the international neurophysiology community, serving as Immediate Past Chair (2021–2023) of the Electrophysiology Professional Interest Area of ISTAART within the Alzheimer’s Association. In parallel, he is Senior Co-Chair (since 2018) of the Special Interest Group on Advanced EEG/MEG Techniques in Clinical Neurophysiology within the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology.
